Escapism

Escapism is a result of an inability to establish meaningful friendships. This makes the person feel guilt and pointlessness in their lives, which makes them unhappy.

People that have an inability to make friends genuinely feel that it is their fault. They try there best to make conversation with people and create new friendships with people.

It is a diversion by creating entertainment or an activity,
as an "escape" from the perceived unpleasant aspects of daily life.

Escapism can also be the actions people take to help relieve feelings of depression or general sadness. But it is known that escapsim can result in depression, the person gets used to their alternate reality and cannot cope with going back to living normal lives.
